County Teacher of the Year: Riccardo Magni

Bill Cirone, County Superintendent of Schools, announced on May 3 that Pioneer Valley High School's biology teacher and science department head, Riccardo Magni, is 2012-13 Santa Barbara County Teacher of the Year effective July 1.

It's the season for Relay for Life in the San Jose area

This year, as usual, the Cambrian Relay came first. In its fourth year, it has become one of the largest in Northern California and is second only to the Salinas relay. It was the eighth largest in the state and ranks high among the nation's relays.
